Workshop Dominican Bachata New members try out

Love bachata and want to take your Dominican swag to a new level? Well, lucky you - Duende show team is looking for new members! On 18th October - together with SalsaKompaniet - we will give a kick-ass bachata footwork workshop. We will also talk about musicality, footwork and the fascinating history of the dance and its root in Dominican Republic. At the end of the workshop, you can join as a performer for the new SHOW project - Vamos Al Cibao, open for MEN and WOMEN. You will get more details at the workshop. As boy Romeo Santos says - you need this in your life! ---------------------------- What is Vamos al Cibao? Vamos al Cibao ​is a collaborative show team project between Salsa Kompaniet​ and Duende​. Vamos al Cibao​ aims to bring bachata dancing back to its roots, inspire and educate, fire up the passion for the dance, the music and its history. It is named after one of the most authentic regions in the Dominican Republic - El Cibao - considered also the birthplace of merengue, but also the cultural heartland of DR. Often the songs of artists such as Antony Santos and Frank Reyes would contain an exclamation - Vamonos al Cibao! Come and learn more interesting facts AND a super-super cool footwork combo. Vamos al Cibao! ------------------- Who can attend? The workshop and the team try outs are open for both men and women. No couples needed. Please note that GOOD dance level in at least one other latin dance is advised. ----------------------- How much does it cost? Taking a leap of faith, we will open the workshop FREE of charge. This is a one-time opportunity.
