Come train and dine with the Hawaii Zouk Festivals Favorite Tennessean this Saturday for one day only! He is going to give a beautiful highlight of several skills essential for great Counterbalances and for using advanced combination leads and follow movements! Event Description: Come out for a fun holiday evening with international artists Brad Meccia visiting us on his tour of Hawaii! He was with us at the Hawaii Zouk Festival and now you can have him all to yourself Honolulu! Lets bring our community together! Schedule: Doors open / Registration: 5:45 pm meet and greet. Classes start: 6:00 - 7:00 - Body Motion and Isolation Skills Builder This class will review important motion and connection techniques that will be needed in the 7:00 and 8:00 classes. If you feel confident in these motions, we challenge you to come try this class in the reverse role so you can understand your partner better for the rest of the classes in the evening. 7:00 - 8:00 - Counter Balance Training with direction changes and off axis exits Improve the technique and aesthetics of your counter balance by learning to connect and trust your partner. We will learn multiple foot work options for the leads to create stability and leg lines for the follows 8:00 - 9:00 - NeoZouk Head Motion Training Learn how to keep flow and continuity in your head motion during head reversals, body reversals, head spots, and even counter balance. 9:00 - 10:00 Zouk feast with the Zouk fam! We can all go down the street to Charm 3 and grab some yummy Thai food together! Dance party starts 10:00pm at Sakura! 10:00 - 11:00 Cost: 15.00 1 hr 25.00 2 hrs 30.00 3 hrs Party included! Dance level descriptions: Beginner: Brand new to zouk less than 10 classes. Open level: Great for all Zouk dancers covers techniques essential for any level of dancer to drill or dive deeper. Intermediate: Have a firm grasp on the basics have taken at least 10 Zouk classes and have a firm understanding of basic timing/ lateral / and soltinho variations. Advanced: I have danced Zouk for a year or more and feel comfortable with complex off axis turns, orientation & direction components as well as dynamic changes in frame. Drinks / Food: Charm 3 Thai restaurant on the corner of Smith and Hotel street. Yummy Thai food with a down home ambience! Great prices and friendly staff!
