Arturo Rodriguez is a Seattle-based percussionist, bandleader, and educator with over three decades of experience in Latin music and dance. Known for his deep knowledge of Afro-Cuban rhythms and his engaging, hands-on teaching style, Arturo has performed and collaborated with numerous artists throughout the Pacific Northwest while leading projects that celebrate Salsa, Son, and Caribbean musical traditions.
As an educator, Arturo specializes in helping dancers understand music from a musician’s perspective. His musicality workshops bridge the gap between rhythm and movement, giving students practical tools to hear, interpret, and express the music with confidence and authenticity.
Through his work as a performer, instructor, and founder of Pa’ Gozar, Arturo continues to inspire dancers and musicians alike to connect more deeply with the roots, structure, and feeling of the music.
