WORKSHOP: Queer Tango Warsaw presents Esteban & Arts

🌈 Queer Tango Warsaw zaprasza na warsztat: „Elegancka i płynna zmiana objęcia.” W tradycyjnym tangu zmiana objęcia i tym samy zamiana roli nie występuje, ale to właśnie Queer Tango otworzyło możliwość zbadania tego tematu. Rozpoczniemy warsztaty momentem refleksji nad tym, dlaczego zmiana objęcia może być niesamowitym dodatkiem do tanga. Zbadamy, jak może ona wzbogacić połączenie i dynamikę między partnerami w tańcu, podnosząc jakość doznania dla obojga. Przejdziemy do eksploracji różnych momentów tańca oraz kombinacji, w których zmiana objęcia staje się naturalna i swobodna. Rozpoczniemy od prostych przejść, stopniowo przechodząc do bardziej wyszukanych. W ciągu warsztatów skupimy się nie tylko na różnych kombinacjach zmiany objęcia, ale także na niezbędnych modyfikacjach zarówno ciała, jak i umysłu, aby wykonać te zmiany z elegancją i pewnością. Na koniec, co niesłychanie ważne, 2-godzinne warsztaty zapewnią każdemu wystarczająco dużo czasu na zgłębienie zarówno technicznych, jak i emocjonalnych detali związanych z zmianą objęcia. O naszych artystach: Arts pochodzi z Rygi na Łotwie i od 2008 roku mieszka w Buenos Aires i tańczy tango. Ukończył National University of the Arts z tytułem tłumacza tanga w 2018 roku oraz licencjatem z folkloru na kierunku Tango, w 2021. Esteban pochodzi z Esquel w Argentynie i swoją miłość do tanga i argentyńskiego folkloru odkrył w szkole średniej. W 2017 roku przeniósł się do Buenos Aires, aby kontynuować karierę jako tancerz tanga i argentyńskiego folkloru. Arts i Esteban tańczą razem zawodowo i prowadzą zajęcia z tanga i folkloru od 2018 roku. Mieli przywilej uczyć się od uznanych argentyńskich mistrzów, takich jak Jesús Velazquez, Augusto Balizano, Martín Ojeda, Leonardo Cuello, Gabriel Angio, Natalia Games, Claudio Gonzales, Alejandra Gutty, Gabriela Elias, Raúl Bravo, Andrés Cejas i wielu innych. Tańczą tango salón i tango escenario, a także folklor argentyński. Prezentowali i prowadzili zajęcia w różnych szkołach milong i tanga w Buenos Aires, Berlinie, Rydze, Wilnie i Kownie. W 2019 i 2022 roku uczestniczyli w Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Queer Tango w Buenos Aires. W tym roku zostali zaproszeni do udziału w 11. We will start the workshop with a moment of reflection on why embrace change can be a captivating addition to Tango, how it can enhance the connection and dynamics between dance partners, and enrich the dance experience for both of them. We will move on exploring varios dance moments and combinations where changing embrace feels both natural and graceful. We will start with straightforward transitions and gradually progress to more sophisticated ones. Throughout the workshop we will focus not only on the combinations of embrace change, but also to the necessary adjustments in both body and mind to execute these changes with elegance and confidence. Lastly, but certainly not least, the workshop's 2-hour duration ensures that everyone will have enough time to investigate both the technical and sensational details of the embrace change. About our artists: Arts is from Riga, Latvia, and has been living in Buenos Aires and dancing tango since 2008. He graduated from the National University of the Arts with a degree in Tango Interpreter in 2018 and a degree in Licentiate in Folklore, majoring in Tango, in 2021. Esteban is from Esquel, Argentina, and discovered his love for tango and Argentine folklore during high school. In 2017, he moved to Buenos Aires to pursue his career as a tango and Argentine folklore dancer. Arts and Esteban have been dancing together professionally and giving tango and folklore classes since 2018. They have had the privilege of learning from renowned Argentine maestros, such as Jesús Velazquez, Augusto Balizano, Martín Ojeda, Leonardo Cuello, Gabriel Angio, Natalia Games, Claudio Gonzales, Alejandra Gutty, Gabriela Elias, Raúl Bravo, Andrés Cejas, and many others. They dance tango salón and tango escenario, as well as Argentine folklore. They have presented and taught classes in different milongas and tango schools in Buenos Aires, Berlin, Riga, Vilnius, and Kaunas. In 2019 and 2022, they participated in the Buenos Aires International Queer Tango Festival.
