Energia Studios are incredibly excited to have been able to secure time with the very talented, highly passionate & dedicated dancer & instructor Mayara Santos all the way from Brazil. Coronavirus maybe keeping us out of the class rooms but it is giving us opportunities we wouldn't have sort after. This will be a 2-2.5 hour workshop in two parts The first hour will contain the - History of samba - The origins of samba - Our social responsibility as samba dancers dancing their dance style in our country - Carnival - News The second hour will cover - Samba no pe fundamentals - Arms & lines - Agility & Dynamics - Improvisation - Creation Process Sunday 26th July 10:00am to 12:00/12:30pm AEST $40 for the 2/2.5 hour workshop Online Bookings via www.energiastudios.com.au/workshops Angela first took workshops with Mayara at the Australian Samba Congress in 2019 & fell in love with her style, her passion to share & her teaching methods. Ange has been after a workshop with her for a while & knows you wont be left disappointed, nor with your breath at the end. It's hard everywhere in the world right now but particularly so in Brazil. We're really happy to let you know that $30 of ever workshop participant goes straight to Mayara so please help us promote because the more people we have, the more we support her but the more people here in Australia, can get a better understanding of samba, life of a Brazilian and knowing history is a must but knowing our responsibilities as samba dancers, straight from this star herself, is priceless!
