Join us for this unique opportunity to work with one of most influential pair of artists in Brazilian Zouk's history! It simply takes a quick google search of the name Jaime Arôxa to realize how he has earned the name “godfather of Zouk”, and how influential he is to the Brazilian Zouk scene. Kiri Chapman is a dance goddness, who started her career in ballet. She has brought her exquisite technique into the partner dance realm, and travels the world to teach with Jaime. His students have become very successful teachers/dancers in their own rights: just to name a few Renata Pecanha, Adilio Porto, Alex Carvalho and many more. Aroxa's work as a choreographer has been shown in theaters, TV shows, films, carnaval, commercials etc. His classes are an incredible experience, rich with technique, artistry, and a certain magic that only he can conjure. Kiri Chapman began her career in classical ballet. She came into the world of partner dance through ballroom, bachata and salsa where she has won titles at the world salsa summit, world salsa open and bachata world championship. She has danced the choreographies of Twyla Tharp, Nacho Duato, Balanchine, and many other notable choreographers. Working together with Jaime Aroxa, and his method of teaching dance, she has become a a strong teacher as well, teaching throughout the world in styles of zouk, bachata, salsa, tango, samba, ballet, lifts and tricks and many more.
