About this Event
It’s been more than half a year since Sebastian Jimenez was last in Zurich at the charity milonga La Luz for Ukraine. We already miss him- so he’s coming back for a couple of days together with his absolutely beautiful and talented partner, Fiamma Clozza.
They will teach only 2 group classes and a limited number of private lessons. Since they’ll be in Zurich for just a couple of days, places are very limited, so please book your private lesson or reserve your spot in a group class as soon as your plans are confirmed.
Group classes will take place at Studio À Contretemps / Tango Gyrotonic
(Flurstrasse 4a, 8048 Zürich)
Wednesday, 4 March
18:30–19:45
Giro Foundation & Implementation
This class will focus on the mechanics of the giro (turns) for both leaders and followers. We’ll break down dissociation, axis, and embrace during the turn. Then we’ll work on how to implement it smoothly in the line of dance — how to enter the giro, how to finish it, and how to combine it with simple steps to navigate the floor without losing connection.
19:45–21:00
Sacadas & Enrosques for the Floor
This is a more advanced topic. We’ll focus on lead and follow technique for sacadas (for both leaders and followers) and how to add enrosques as an embellishment or collection point without stopping the flow. The goal is to make them functional and musical — not just decorative — so you can use them comfortably in a milonga without disrupting navigation.
After the classes, let’s go to Milonga La Cantina to enjoy ourselves, dance, and have fun 👯♀️
