**Workshops with Veronica Toumanova & Asya Moiseeva (Paris)** Our workshops are designed for all levels. We focus on refining the basics,especially in close embrace, while also introducing interesting step combinations. Although our workshops cater to all, we want to emphasize that they are also adapted for female followers interested in trying leading as well as male leaders interested in trying following. In short, regardless of your role or your inclination towards role-changing, these workshops will help you improve your dancing skills and musicality in close embrace, while also expanding your dance vocabulary. ++++ SATURDAY 25/11 ++++++++ WORKSHOP #1: 14h00 - 15h30 *Connection basics for walking in close embrace* This workshop delves into the aspects that ensure a comfortable and connected close embrace. Through various exercises, we explore how partners can establish a functional embrace that allows for natural leading and following without exerting force. The focus will specifically be on walking, with "comfort" being the key theme. WORKSHOP #2: 15h45 - 17h15 *Dynamic sequences for close embrace in small spaces* In this workshop, we share some of our preferred dynamic rhythmic sequences for dancing in close embrace, especially in limited spaces. We demonstrate how to improvise and create a sense of dancing to lively music like d'Arienzo, even when space is restricted. Inspired by milonguero style, this workshop will be invaluable for navigating a crowded dance floor. For women learning how to lead this workshop will provide a "survival kit" of simple dynamic step combinations to make you less scared of a crowded dance floor! +++ SUNDAY 26/11 +++++ WORKSHOP #3: 14h00 - 15h30 *Exploring leader's and follower's barrida combinations* This workshop concentrates on the techniques for leading and following barridas, a playful, versatile, and enjoyable element that can be incorporated in both close and open embrace. We present some cool and funky barrida combinations and discuss how to execute them seamlessly, comfortably, and with an element of surprise. GUIDED PRACTICA: 15h30 - 17h00 We believe in the value of practice, which is why we are hosting a guided practica open to everyone, but especially for the students attending our workshops. This practica allows you to practice the steps and techniques you've learned, seek feedback, and try out new concepts, all with our guidance and support. She has Russian origins, but started dancing tango while living in The Netherlands. She has worked with different partners, performing and teaching in France, Sweden, Norway, UK, Italy, The Netherlands, Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Switzerland, Canada and USA. Veronica is an elegant dancer with a strong personality and a refined sense of music. She has extensive knowledge of both the follower and the leader’s role and is especially known for her in-depth technique classes. She is also a popular tango blogger, her essays on tango are translated in eighteen languages and she has recently published the second volume of her “Why Tango” essay collection. ASYA MOISEEVA (PARIS) Asya has been dancing tango since 2010 and started DJing and teaching in 2014 while still living in St. Petersburg, Russia. She has been DJing at many marathons and festivals across the world and is currently one of the most trendy DJ's in the European tango scene. She dances as a leader from the very beginning and her dance can be described as mesmerising, technically skilled, exceptionally musical and with a sense of profound connection to the follower. In teaching, technique is the most important for her, as a basis for improvisation and musical expression. Veronica and Asya have started to perform and teach together in the summer of 2021.
