On the 26th of May, we celebrate the joyest dances of all, Swing Dance (Lindy Hop is part of Swing)! And what better way to celebrate than with one of the oldest swing bands in the Netherlands, The Dutch Swing College Band! Swing dance is a unifying community dance for all people from different backgrounds and it goes along with the rich and hard Afro-American history. 26th of May refers to the birthday of one of the biggest investors in this dance, Frankie Manning. Nowadays, this dance forms a universal language between dancers and folks really love to travel so that they can explore the dance in local communities. They are one of the oldest swing jazz bands in the Netherlands and really know how to swing your socks of your feet!
