Not going to the Melbourne Kizomba festival?? Well fear not folks as the Master of Kizomba himself, Mr Nelson Campos, will be in Perth!! Hooray!!!!
Some of you may know Nelson from his visit to Perth last year, which was a huge success. So much positive feedback!! Whether you're an absolute beginner or a very experienced dancer/instructor, you will most definitely get your worth from attending Nelson's workshops. If you wern't fortunate enough to attend his workshops and would like to know a little more about him, I've included his biography below.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
Saturday 1st August:
11.00am - 12.30am: Beginners Kizomba - basic foundations and technique
12.45pm - 2.15pm: Intermediate Kizomba - sensual moves
2.30pm - 4.00pm: Intermediate/ Advanced Kizomba - cool and smooth kizomba moves

Background information on Nelson:
Nelson was born in the West African country of Guinea-Bissau. When he was just a youngster, his family moved to Lisbon (Portugal), and it is here where Nelson's love of dance blossomed. Nelson would go to many Salsa and African clubs, entertaining crowd after crowd with his natural dancing talent. It was In Barcelona - Spain, over 20 years ago, Nelson started teaching Salsa. Then, in 1999, Nelson moved to London (England) where he qualified as a professional dance teacher with the UKA (United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing and Kindred Arts) and became a licensed adjudicator by the BDC (British Dance Council). Armed with these credentials, Nelson founded 'Kent Salsa and Kizomba Dance School', teaching Salsa on 1, Kizomba, Semba, Afro-moves, Bachata and Merengue, on a full-time basis. With his passion for dancing and patience when teaching, Nelson ensures his classes are energetic and full of fun.
Nowadays, Nelson is more famous for being one of the best Kizomba instructors in the world, a true Kizomba ambassador and world’s most recommended and International Kizomba teacher. His Kizomba performances and workshops have been seen in many places around the world - from Ireland to Dubai, UK to India, Australia to Norway, Malaysia to the Caribbean and the list goes on. Combining his passion for teaching with his love of Kizomba, Nelson released the first ever English professional instructional Kizomba DVD. It was such a great success people demanded more, hence the release of further levels - Kizomba DVD’s III & IV. With the interest in Kizomba growing globally, Nelson is passionate about everybody having access to outstanding Kizomba teachers. With this dream in mind, Nelson launched KIZOMBA PLANET and “DDC” (Digital Dance Club) -ambitious projects for coaching and supporting teachers who also want to embrace and share the beautiful world of Kizomba dancing. Nelson continues to work with UKA, teaching and training dancers to become certified Kizomba, Salsa and Bachata teachers, as well as judging competitions. Nelson continues to introduce and train Kizomba teachers in many countries around the world. In fact, many of the well known Kizomba teachers teaching today, were originally trained by Nelson. He is responsible for choreographing many of the core Kizomba steps and moves we still see on the dance floor. He is highly skilled at developing a strong Kizomba foundation in his students, who then have the freedom and confidence to explore and develop their own unique interpretation and flair of the dance. He is not to be missed!
