We are happy to welcome you all to our special Christmas Eve edition at the Steinerschool in Wijgmaal (Leuven): Wednesday 24 Decembre 2025 ★ PROGRAM ★ 18u: Doors open: potluck at the entrance (the the fire place): bring your favorite dish for 3-4 persons (and plate, cutlery, cup of soup). We 'll make soup for everyone! Please note: we don't have a kitchen for heating & washing dishes! 18u50: the big venue opens, welcome to arrive in your body in silence! 19u10: Start dancing/ warming up in the big venue! Opening ceremony with Caroline & HAN: Voice Activation & circle singing for everyone 20u: Ecstatic Dance with Dj Caroline S'Jegers 22u: Soundjourney by HAN (bring a blanket/ pillow) 22u30: Ending ceremony For this occasion DJ Caroline S'Jegers will lead us through the dance with her chosen songs, music and poetry. HAN Here And Now (NL) will bring his talents as singer & multi-instrumentalist. Together, HAN & Caroline will create a wonderful evening for us. Park at the station or the Ymeria sport hall, everything is close by (a few minutes' walk) You can easily come by train or carpool. Please pay online in advance so we know how much soup to make. Children are welcome for a small donation, but we ask that you, as parents, support them. They are welcome to participate in the ceremony and dance as long as they respect the guidelines, especially not talking (as best as possible :)). ★ WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE? ★ A unique dance experience, guided by music and sounds. We go on exploration, dare to be vulnerable and gently push our boundaries. There are three simple basic guidelines to ED: "No shoes. No booze. No chitchat." So we come together connecting our bare feet to the earth, purely communicating through our bodies, and celebrating life in all its aspects! We welcome you exactly as you are now! So you are entirely free to follow your own needs during the dance. Each ED starts and ends with a ceremony in which we make time and space to connect with ourselves, the others, the space, the vibrations, our intentions and the larger ED tribe. This opening is guided, and leads you into the dance. The concept of ED arose about 35 years ago in Hawaii and California, went around the world and has grown extensively over the years, weekly touching many hearts and bodies all over the world. ❤ Come as you are Move however you wish We dance barefeet, drink only water, and don't talk on the dancefloor.
