Xandy’s Philosophy of Movement takes a fresh approach to Brazilian Zouk by focusing on the elements of Connection, Breath, Visuals and Touch. Xandy’s educational program will take the Zouk dancer on a journey that will enable each participant not only delve into their Zouk physicality, but also to explore mental consciousness and concepts of space and the flow of movement of dance. Xandy Liberato’s methodology also educates the Zouk dancer on the history of Brazilian Zouk. This helps the dancer fully understand and relate to what the dance is today. To this end, Xandy will touch on the relation between Traditional Zouk and Lambada. Adding to this subject, Xandy will educate the Zouk dancer how to interpret the different styles. Xandy sees dance as an art form and also something that draws people together. He considers the dance encounter as an important form of expression and aims to connect this universal experience with elements of Visual, Breath and Touch; Excitedly, the program will incorporate learning Zouk Techniques incorporating some of Xandy’s Favorite and Signature movements whilst also teaching on the Concepts of Zouk. Xandy’s special program will touch on your personal identity and help you dance with more freedom, awareness - definitely has that special ‘cathartic value’ (release those emotions)!
