After beginning in ballroom dancing in 2003, having competition success for years in the boogie-woogie scene, László met West Coast Swing in 2008. In West Coast Swing he found what he has been unconsciously seeking, a dance that can be done for almost all genres of music. For him, this dance is the modeling of real life, where you have to obey some easy basic rules, and you can do, create anything, beyond imagination. Nothing is impossible! He was part of the international award-winning Swingshot West Coast Swing Formation team from the beginning. After a successful period in the team, he made his mark in the individual competition scene as well, making it all the way to the All-Star division where he has been competing successfully ever since. In 2016 he graduated as a certified dance instructor, and he is still further educating himself from world class instructors like Robert Royston, Brandi Guild, Chuck Brown, Jordan Frisbee, Kyle Redd and Browly Adjavon. László is an enthusiast of teaching the dance to others. He has been teaching weekly regular classes, weekend workshops, private classes and coaching sessions since 2013. As time passed he was invited to teach abroad, visit new countries, meet motivated and motivating students in Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Israel, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States and Ukraine. He is based in Cologne, Germany where he is growing the local community, providing diverse learning and socializing opportunities. His classes are known for a fun and welcoming atmosphere, detailed technical tuition and his radiating enthusiasm to transfer his knowledge and experience to his students. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - KASIA I MARCIN (Przepraszamy ale jedyny nasz aktualny opis mamy po angielsku... 😉 ) Kasia and Marcin are a teaching couple from Kraków with impressive experience in both dancing and teaching (each of them has been teaching for over 20 years). For a long time their interests revolved around competitive ballroom dancing. As an instructor, Marcin has been working with competitive ballroom dancers for over 15 years, teaching mainly adults at all levels of advancements (from complete beginners to S-class dancers). He is also personal trainer and Buteyko method instructor, and pationate about healthy movement. Kasia, on the other hand, has been focusing on social dances. She’s gained experience in teaching kids, teenagers and adults (some of them physically challenged) at various levels of advancement, as well as running courses for other dance instructors. She’s also the creator of the largest charity dance course in Lesser Poland (one of Polish voivodeships), attended by hundreds of students every year. She is also pationate about andragogy science. As a teaching duo, Marcin and Kasia prove that absolutely everyone is capable of learning how to dance. They are well-known and appreciated for their positive energy and passionate approach to dance instruction. Kasia and Marcin in just two years (from year 2014) have built the largest WCS community in Poland (and this part of Europe). Currently, in their dance studio in Kraków, they run 15 WCS courses on 6 different levels of advancement. A number of their students attend international events and win points in Novice, Intermediate, and Advance division. Happy as they are with their students’ results in jack’n’jills, they do not see the competitive aspect of WCS as the most important things in this dance. Social dancing and having fun is what they appreciate most. The most wonderful and fulfilling experience is for them to see how people who were extremely skeptical on their first lesson and thought that dancing is not for them get excited about WCS and join the community for good. They constantly surprise their students with new, creative exercises and they are capable of translating even the most difficult WCS concepts into a language understandable for everyone. They’ve also mastered the skill of teaching impressively large groups of students, not only making them into aspiring WCS dancers but, most importantly, into a family-like community of friends who share the same passion 🙂 For Kasia and Marcin, West Coast Swing is not only about dancing but, most importantly, about spending time with positive people, having loads of fun and recharging batteries ☺
