Year of Laughter: Cacao Ceremony, Meditation, and Dance Party

SUNDAY <3 SUNDAY <3 SUNDAY There will be Mayan ceremonial-grade cacao. There will be sound healers, wiseacres and song carriers. There will be kundalini laughter yoga. There will be a beautiful rooftop garden terrace and glitched out downtempo grooves by Justin Terranova. There will be hugs and handstands and heartfelt prayers. There will be humble human humor hymns. And it will be awesome. Starting at 4PM on Sunday October 23rd, we will be bringing the amazing cacao medicine home to Brooklyn for an afternoon of elation and transformation. After an Invocation with Samuel and Aya, we'll begin by sharing in a meditation with magical heart-opening cacao straight from the Maya highlands of Guatemala. Be warned that cacao is not a strictly silly medicine (is anything strictly silly?) — it can inspire some deep feelings of emotional release, interconnection, forgiveness and empathy. **Remember—bring your bliss (aka bowl)! We want to serve the cacao in vessels that are beautiful and won't be tossed at the conclusion of our event. It tastes better that way.** Following the first round and guided meditation, the second bowl (cacao) will be served as Aya Sandra breaks out the bowls (singing) and Justin brings the ambiance to another level, immersing us in a sound-healing electro-acoustic shamanic journey. We'll wrap up with a little more cacao (you'll feel it in your nethers) and transition into a sunset laughter yoga session led by the mahashakti Irayida Galaxia. Following the ceremony (at 7pm) Justin begins his set which will take you through a musical journey of global beats and bass that will inspire the ecstatic movement within you. Meantime the sun will be putting on a show as it sets over the big city, Bearded Chef will be plying us all with kozmic kulinary kreationz, and we will be mercilessly injecting puns into every third sentence. Pull the plunger. This will also be the official birthday celebration of one queen Aj Bigs and a celebration of our passage into slithery, sensual Scorpio season and all those born within.
