Every Thursday for over twenty seven years, Tango La Nacional hosts an intimate community of dancers from every corner of the world. We are LGBTQ+ friendly with an emphasis on inclusivity and harnessing the power of embracing a stranger. We are located in the heart of Meatpacking District above the legendary La Nacional Spanish tapas bar & restaurant. This Thursday: Yesica Esquivel & Ariel Leguizamon Ariel and Yésica are renowned professional dancers from Argentina, specializing in Argentine tango and folklore. They have been a solid dance couple for 19 years, during which they have performed with prestigious companies and toured internationally. They were the 2016 champions of the Pelando Variación and have also been finalists in the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Championship. They regularly travel throughout Europe and the United States to teach and perform at major festivals and events. They were six-time Stage Tango finalists the Tango BA Dance World Cup (2012, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2023 and 2025), an incredible achievement!
