Yorkshire Salsa Congress 2018

We are so excited to be holding the FULL Congress this year all at Unity Hall in Wakefield City Centre, after a incredible first year and 5 star reviews we cant wait to bring you the next instalment. This year we will have the additions of friday workshops, and afternoon socials on saturday and sunday. We will also have food throughout the day to pre-order and purchase. Kick starting our fabulous congress on Friday with early evening workshops and 6pm registration for all your eager beavers. Our Opening night is going to be something really exciting, with our “ Three Amigos” taking to the stage. DJ SUPERMARIO DJ EMIL PRYSAK DJ MARK JOHNSON. All of our artists, DJ's and teachers will all be here on the friday, so its a great time to catch them all for a dance, social dancing till 3am. Saturday we have a full day of workshops kick starting at 11am with 4 class rooms and lots of exciting workshops on offer. Saturday evening PARTY NIGHT not to be missed. The 4 separate rooms are fully loaded with every version of Latin Dance you can imagine. MAJOR HALL - 650 capacity Cross-body Style Salsa including 100% Salsa Music (Mambo, Cha Cha, NYC Guaguanco) The Huge 650 capacity wooden dance floor, and Large bar is complimented by the newly opened 100 capacity balcony and state of the art Sound System. MINOR HALL - 250 capacity Cuban Style Salsa including ( Timba, Son Cubano, Rumba, Cubaton, Reggaeton Cubano) The large bar and great sound system make this room a must for the Cuban enthusiasts. ROOM 1 - 200 Capacity Bachata Room including (Dominican, sensual, traditional, Moderna). Bachata has its own dedicated room so you can all enjoy this phenomenal style of dance. ROOM 2 - 100 Capacity Playing the latest kizomba, tarraxinha, ghetto zouk, semba, kuduru and afro-house. Food served at 11pm for the midnight munchers ( own cost). At midnight we will have 3 separate performances by various artists, tbc, and social dancing until 3am. At 3.30am we will have a after party and chill down time at the Holiday inn Express, all welcome!!, the bar will be open and we will be playing some music, whilst relaxing with friends. Sunday we will ALL be having a lie in and workshops will start at midday, through till 6pm. Our sunday evening social dancing will kick start around 9.30pm and social dancing till 3am, all the FAB Teachers will still be here till monday morning so dont miss any opportunity to dance with them.
