Yorkshire Salsa Congress 2019

YORKSHIRE SALSA CONGRESS IN ITS THIRD YEAR NOW!!, It keeps getting bigger and better every year. There are so many artists, teachers and DJ's that we want to bring to Yorkshire to our beautiful venue right in the heart of Wakefield City. The venue is not only the biggest Salsa Venue in the North but also one of the most iconic buildings in Yorkshire. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the venue attracted some of the biggest acts in the glam, punk, post-punk and heavy metal era. The Specials, Boomtown Rats, Human League, The Skids, The Only Ones, Iron Maiden, Penetration, Eurythmics, and Def Leppard are some of the acts to perform there in its heyday. Karen McQuire and SalsaUnity have been holding events at Unity Hall since 2015, and have had some incredible names already in Wakefield. 2019 we are pleased to announce some of our confirmed artists below.
