Bij de Modern tango salon wordt de Tango gevierd als levend cultureel erfgoed, met de nadruk op eigentijdse tangomuziek. De DJ draait een mix van traditionele (ong. 30%) en moderne orkesten met een vleugje alternatieve muziek. Met tandas en cortinas. Flor de Fango vrijwilligers organiseren vaak een workshop, lezing, film o.i.d. voorafgaand en er zijn regelmatig speciale performers. This Workshop will be 100% practical. Melodies in tango are often expressed in two ways, staccato and legato. We’ll understand it’s difference and learn to express and enjoy the melodic contrast that this articulations have to offer. The workshop will be divided in 3 parts: • Practical explanation of the musical element to be studied from a musician perspective and it’s potential connection with the dance. • Individual exercises to integrate the musical stimulus into our own body • Work with a partner to deepen music, connection and movement in regard to the musical element presented with full guidance of the teacher At the end of this workshops you will be able to identify some aspects of the tango music and to use this knowledge to be a more precise, creative and curious social dancer. ► all levels.
