Zen Tango Weekend! Welcome to the first TANGO event in the LV this year (health protocols will follow - temperature and masks only at the entrance, when you pass through the restaurant. and please - you are invited if you feel good. If not - stay home. But, today - as of Monday - masks were lifted in PA, so we are all good without it. Follow your comfort zone. host: Urszula Abolik co-host Elif Onural with maestros: Victoria Codru - loves dancing and teaching. Enjoys spreading the happiness of tango dance to everyone!!! Life is a dance! Tomas Corbalan: from Buenos Aires, Argentina. After learning tango and because of Tango, he started to investigate more spiritual areas like Reiki, Tai Chi, Yoga as well as breathing and meditation techniques. You will need to become healthier in every aspect of life in order to become a better dancer. Tango is body, mind and soul. Eleonora Kalganova - Eleonora is a dance artist and teacher who focuses on exploring improvisation, flow, and communication as process and performance in Argentine tango. Growing up in post-Soviet Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Eleonora has been fortunate to extensively study, from an early age, many different and unique forms of dance: folk, ballroom, character, historic, ballet, and modern. Barnaby Ruhe - phD art and shamnic professor at NYU, action painter, true artist to the heart - artwork auction, and ink sketches-portraits while dancing!!!! Saturday Tango program: *7-8pm - tango class with tango stars: Victoria Codru, Eleonora Kalganova and Tomas Corbalan. *8pm - 1am - Milonga with DJ Victoria Codru and DJ Tomas Corbalan. *showtime - tango presentation with Victoria Codru, Eleonora Kalganova, and Tomas Corbalan. *Live tanda mix with accordion/violin - Nick Franco and Bruce Gaston of the TriCity TANGO Musical Ensemble. *La Mina Tango boutique on display and available for you - with Alla Kotler. Sunday Tango program: *5-6pm - class with Victoria Codru - fun and playful milonga. *6pm - 10pm - Milonga with DJ - Victoria Codru and Urszula Abolik (DJ MayoK), show time by Victoria and a surorise!!!!!! Saturday daytime attractions: Bethlehem Steel Stacks, Bethlehem Main Street, and Moravian Community, Bethlehem Hotel brunch or drink, South Mountain hiking. Sunday daytime attractions: Visit the forest studio of the artist Dr Barnaby Ruhe (tango dancer). The house is in Emmaus - 15 min driving from Allentown, we will meet there at 12pm for the daytime picnic and nature walks. If you have more energy - there will be a yoga/movement/contact dancing class - 11am-12pm, at the farm, in nature, with Kate DeCamp. Housing: local Airbnb - in Allentown and Bethlehem, Renaissance Hotel - Allentown, Bethlehem Hotel - Bethlehem, Best Western in Bethlehem, many Allentown smaller hotels. Address to the Sunday picnic: 4926 South 5th Street, Emmaus, PA, but the GPS does not work on the mountain. if you come from Emmaus - take 4th street up the mountain, take a right onto Broad Street, and next left into South 5th street. When you come to the top of the mountain (you pass the Sky Top community) you will see 5 mailboxes and 2 big stones, make a right turn right there into the woods. This forest path (0.5 mile) will take you to Barnaby’s Farm at the very end.
