We’ll begin with practices where sensation and proprioception guide our learning, leading to more refined and embodied skills. The focus will be on the physics and somatics that support both freedom of flight and personal expression. Pleasure ↔ Technique Somatics ↔ Acrobatics We’ll explore: Deft aerial maneuvers and techniques to increase contact Somatic insights—like the idea that jumping is muscular, while flying is in the bones, influenced by emotion and attitude Group trust-building, safety, and co-regulation Favorite contact exercises and emergent curiosities from decades of movement investigation All levels are welcome—everyone will work at their own pace and capacity. Experience with Contact Improvisation is recommended.
