He began his journey 15 years ago with Brazilian jiu-jitsu, fell in love with and studied Tango at one of the best schools in Rio de Janeiro, and Brazilian Zouk ultimately captured his heart. He learned Zouk from Renata Peçanha, one of the founders of this beautiful art form, at her school in Rio de Janeiro, and now shares his knowledge and art across Iowa, the Midwest, and beyond from DC to Chicago to San Francisco, and everywhere in between. 🌹 ABOUT VERITY ROSE Verity Rose started dancing at a very young age. In 2011, latin dancing captured her heart, and in 2019 she was introduced to Zouk and fell in love with the art. She moved from Nebraska to Iowa in 2021 to train in Brazilian Zouk. In 2022, she took on the role of "director" for Iowa Zouk. In April 2022 she founded V Rose Productions to bring events to Iowa to help grow and develop the community. She has produced 13 Brazilian Zouk events since July 2022 and aims to expand to other styles of social dancing.
