About this Event

We're excited to offer some outdoor dance classes so we can dance together once again. We'll stick to solo dancing to follow public health guidelines - there's plenty of solo dance training we can do for Brazilian zouk. The cold approaches and we've got to take advantage of this opportunity to be outside with our friends and instructors. This time we'll have three classes each 1 hour and 15 minutes with Alisson Sandi. Each is a different level with a different focus, so pick the one that is right for you. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- SCHEDULE GROUP 1 - Foundation Zouk Footwork & Body Movement - 11am-12:15pm This class will ‘start from scratch’ and aim to cover techniques for Footwork & Body Movement for anyone who is new to zouk or wants a refresher so you can get into dancing with confidence. For all of you who are either joining the world of Brazilian Zouk now or just want to go over the foundations again, here is your chance to join us in a class where we will break it down, do some drills and get lots of feedback/correction. This class will be a mix of teaching, correcting and lots of practice 💪 GROUP 2 - Polishing Your Zouk Technique from Head to Toe - 12:30-1:45pm To welcome you back - let’s go over what we already know and clean up all the rusty bits. It’s been a while, and we're all excited to get back into dancing, but many of us are a little stiff and can benefit from some review. In this class, we will go over the foundations and some variations. As the name says, we will cover everything from Head to Toe to wake up your ‘zouk muscles’, including Footwork, Hip Movement, Posture, Body Lines, and others. For this class, it is recommended that you have completed at least a few months of Brazilian Zouk classes. This class will be a mix of teaching, correcting and lots of practice 💪 GROUP 3 - Twisting and Turning - 2:00-3:15pm Here is where we're gonna get sweaty and maybe a little dizzy. Turns are beautiful, but they do take a lot of drilling and correcting. In this class, we will go over the foundations to Axis and Planes, which are the keys to great turns. During the class, we will not only teach you but also give you feedback while we practice some of the best exercises for Turns and Swivels. By the end, we will either be spinning like ice dancers, or on the floor trying to make the world stop spinning 🤣 To better take advantage of this class, it is recommended that you have 3+ months of Brazilian Zouk classes and experience. This class will be a mix of teaching, correcting and lots of practice 💪 -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- HOW WILL IT WORK?
