Zouk Beginner Bootcamp

HAVE YOU HEARD OF ZOUK? It's a Brazilian partner dance that evolved from the lambada of the 80' and 90's. It is now danced to various styles of contemporary music (zouk, kizomba, EDM, hiphop, pop) using the slow-quick-quick rhythm (all styles), or quick-quick-slow rhythm that is unique to lambazouk style. Charactorized by sensual hip and body movements, free-flowing head/hair movement, tango-like leg movements, spins, and a partner connection that is like a puppetmaster with a doll. HAVE YOU BEEN MEANING TO TRY IT OUT? There's a BEGINNER BOOTCAMP with LENA!! With 10 years teaching experience in classical ballet, 5 years lambazouk and zouk, she will give you a kickstart into the foundational basics focusing on the technique and tools to succuessful follow and lead in zouk, all in 3 hours! IT'S A PERFECT TIME TO START! April 17th is less than 2 weeks before the LA Zouk Congress on the Queen Mary!! Prep yourself to fully take advantage of all the international masters of zouk at the congress! CURRENT ZOUKERS! GET A CHECK-UP ON YOUR BASICS! Zoukeiros with some experience will also benefit from this workshop. WE ALL sometimes forget the basic movements that should be a component of int/adv movements that we do all the time.
