Bring snacks if like Steph you need to eat all the time, as we will have a short break to refuel Have you ever noticed that some people are always sought after to dance? Spoiler alert - it's not about how many moves you know. It's about how you make people feel and your ability to bring a safe connection and presence to each dance! That's the magic ✨ This intensive will explore: 🌟 Social Awareness & Etiquette – Understanding dance-floor dynamics, consent, and respectful ways to invite, decline, and engage that keep everyone feeling valued 🌟 Connection & Sensitivity – How to truly listen to your partner through frame, timing, and micro-adjustments, so every dance feels effortless and in sync 🌟 Clear, Comfortable Communication – Techniques for giving and receiving signals that feel confident yet gentle, creating trust and ease on the floor 🌟 Musicality & Adaptability – Learning to interpret the music creatively while staying connected to your partner’s style, energy, and comfort level 🌟 Presence & Positive Energy – Cultivating the mindset, body language, and attitude that make people want to dance with you again and again As this is a 3 hour intensive we will have more time to explore the little details which can make a big impact 🤓 It also allows you to consolidate and practise with a range of people. This way our bodies are able to absorb and understand the feeling too 😌 not just our minds intellectually understanding but not being able to put it into practice. Everyone who attends will receive individual feedback and dance with us too to make sure our feedback is personalised to help you get maximum value out of the sessions 🤗 This intensive is open to zouk dancers who are already comfortable with foundational footwork (basic, lateral, viradinha, lunge, simple turn, bonus, soltinho). Sadly this workshop is not suitable for those wanting to try zouk for the first time as there will be some assumed knowledge.
