Zouk Exploration - NYC

This is our First Zouk Exploration and it’s our pleasure to introduce you to the amazing Dancer and Teacher Vitor Veil Leading/following this workshop in collaboration with Lunna Gomes Exchange: 35$. Only 20 spots available. It will be 3 hours of deep exploration of our bodies, using different exercises and dance techniques to guide us to connect and share. We will bring into awareness body isolations and how essential is to understand and enjoy your own body movement to then move with someone else. Using basic structure of zouk we will share different dynamics that increase the dialogue through body language and how we can utilize the frame to play around and be creative together. We will also be focusing on how deep the connection is between movement and music, and how to listen and express musicality in a partner dance. Lunna and Vitor share the same roots, bringing open hearts and FIRE from Brazil. About Vitor: He is a Brazilian Zouk dancer from Brasília, Brazil. Based on his deep love for the Brazilian expression of art, he developed his own dancing studies based on knowledge of musical studies, human body physiology and dance culture, for the last years. Nowadays, he is partnering with Yasmim Rodrigues sharing their unique vision of art through Brazilian Zouk and expressing a dance with their own personalities while preserving the roots and essence of the Brazilian dance. The result is a real fusion between the old and the new aspects about this dance. Outside of the dance floor Vitor is a registered member of the Order of the Musicians of Brazil and has been working as a Physical Therapist in rehabilitation for over ten years. Take the opportunity to learn and grab him to dance... and take privates with him! =) About Lunna: Originally from Brazil, she started her development as an Independent artist, exploring different movement techniques. Her background is composed of ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and zouk, amongst other dance forms. While living in Brazil, Lunna performed with multiple well known contemporary companies. From there, the urge to evolve as a human being lead her to explore a different country: New York. While continuing to expand as an independent artist, she has been studying deeply what every community has to teach us, and uncovered a passion: fusing and combining everything that she loves, bringing it back to the comfortable space of being One. The mix of styles open the spectrum of possibilities with every movement, finding the singular source, filling our bodies with the pleasure of moving. Teaching for more than 10 years, Lunna has a gentle touch to connect body and soul, while developing the awareness of being intentional and honest with each choice, generating Self care and love.
