Zouk Fusion Night Albuquerque

Join us for a night of Zouk and all your favorite dances! Brazilian Zouk can be "fused" into Bachata, Salsa, West Coast Swing, Kizomba, Blues (and more), just as many of these dances can be enjoyed and danced to the same music! So come out and play as we join together as one large dance community! It's also Rachel's birthday, and she can think of no better way to celebrate than to dance with all of you! EVENING SCHEDULE: 8:15-9:30pm Zouk Workshop (all levels) with Rachel Meth 9:30-11:30pm Zouk Fusion Social (or longer depending on the energy!) PRICING: $10 for Zouk Workshop $10 for Zouk Fusion Social (Social is FREE for those attending the workshop.) LOCATION: Studio Sway ABQ 1100 San Mateo Blvd NE Suite 32 on the northeast corner of San Mateo and Lomas downstairs from Ace Hardware and next door to Quarter Celtic. FOOTWEAR: Studio Sway is primarily a barefoot studio, so we all need to do our best to respect this floor! Please NO shoes with hard or black soles, heals that are not suede bottomed, or shoes that have been worn outside. Only dance shoes with soft or suede bottoms and ones that have been dedicated towards indoor use only can be worn on this floor. WHAT IS BRAZILIAN ZOUK? If you have never experienced this beautiful and mesmerizing dance, you are in for a treat! Brazilian Zouk is a partner dance known for its smooth and flowing movements, dramatic hair whips, and magical connection. It can be danced to many musical genres including zouk, hip-hop, R&B, new age, pop (to name a few!), making it enjoyable and accessible for everyone!
