We have a pleasure to host ONE EVENING only workshop with a wonderful and very talented guest Kristine Krosi. Kristine will take us on adventure of exploring the physics of hair flow, make it look beautiful and easy to lead. The theme of the workshop is: FUN FIGURES FOCUSED ON BODY ARTICULATION AND HAIR FLOW. In addition to building a multi-tiered dance academy and an internationally recognised event, she also brought her dance training and performance programmes to Edinburgh and plans to expand across the greater network of Great Britain. Most recently she has relocated to London to commence her master’s in Dance Movement Psychotherapy to evolve and elevate her understanding of the links between mental health and dance while building a new home for her progressive dance programmes at Dance Addiction Studios in the SW of London. Her dance training began at the age of 3, with classical training in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and later modern, pointe, character and hip-hop. She performed with two ballet companies in Seattle rising to the level of a soloist, occasionally doing her own choreography. At age 16 she started her partner dance career with salsa and bachata. She began her teaching career in 2010 at Salsa Con Todo Dance Studio where she has taught ballet, jazz, salsa, bachata, kizomba, brazilian zouk, and west coast swing. Kristīne's teaching is know around the globe as highly technical and multidisciplinary. She regularly teaches intensives in turn technique, musicality, and neozouk. Her merits in the global zouk competition circuit include winning the Zouk Invitational division at Seattle Dance Festival in 2016 and placing 2nd in the Invitational Division at the New York City Zouk Festival in 2017. In the global west coast swing community Kristīne competes in the advanced division, where she has regularly made finals and recently came in 2nd place in the Advanced Jack and Jill competition and 1st place in the advanced/all-star strictly swing competition at Swing Resolution in 2020. To date she has taught Zouk and other dance related workshops in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Netherlands, Iceland, Sweden, England, Scotland, Latvia, and Lithuania. ___________________ How to get to Studio Bee If you have never been in Studio Bee before, the entrance to the building you can find by getting to Little Lever street from Faraday street (which is the official address of the Studio Bee), and then get to a passage between two buildings on your right hand side. There will be a 'hidden door' on the right hand side which is the entrance. The studio is located on the top floor. See you there!
