DanceLovers, *** New and exciting: Zouk & Samba Intensives! *** The teachers Daniel & Leticia: MZouk MZouk is a unique zouk dance style which is created and developed by Daniel and Leticia themselves. It distinguishes itself from other styles by techniques, improvisation, communication, body expressions, harmony and other elements that empower us to sense, to create and to imagine. Mafie Zouker & Ruanita Santos and Dirk Honingh & Evelyn Magyari: Neo-Zouk As the name reveals, Neo-Zouk is a new generation zouk within the traditional Brasilian zouk dance, which mainly is characterized by its fluency and interpretation of the music. Therefore it’s not surprising that the creator of Neo-Zouk, Mafie Zouker, is also one of the best Zouk DJ’s around the world. David Bosco & Sarah Palhares: Samba de gafieira (Samsurfe) and Samba de pé Samsurfe is a unique, innovative dance style created by David Bosco, which distinguishes from his master, Jimmy de Oliveira with a prominent feature by merging Samba de Gafeira with surfing movements on shoes with wheels. Samsurfe style is funky with a bit of “malandro” flavor, and mostly danced on samba and soul music. Mzouk Beginners Welcome to the Zouk World, in particular of the Mzouk style. This course is for those who have never experienced any zouk dances before or for those who have danced zouk for less than 8 months. Level I This course is for those who have zouk dance experience for more than 1 year. Content: technique, position, balance, laterality, coordination, hand movements, waves, connection, direction and diagonals. Level II For all dancers with more than 2 years of dance experience or for those who pass the dancing test. Content: physics, diagonals, tronco, spirales, head, cambre and pendulo. Level III For those who have at least 3 years of zouk dance experience or for those who pass the dancing test. Content: physics, diagonals, acrobatic, leading and following contact. Musicality For all dancers who want to introduce themselves to the world of dance through music. Zouk is not just a dance on the beats of the music, it’s about how to feel and enjoy it, and thereby merging with your dance partner. Men & Lady Styling For those who want to improve their body movements without boundaries and to develop body expression. Neo-Zouk The course is divided in a theoretical and a practical part.
