A special night to dive into the layers of micro-movements & close connection, and the possibilities of Liquid Leading, layered on the flow of Brazilian Zouk. 💡 7:00pm - 8:00pm Opening practice (all levels) MicroMovements and Embodied Connection with Brigitte & Katherine followed by Zouk & Free Flow dancing until 11pm. Join our international guest facilitator Brigitte & Katherine our Brazilian Zouk community organizer & teacher for an experience of guided exercises into the layers of micro-movements, leading, following, and what lies in between. Dive into a dance language with the freedom of ecstatic dance and synchrony of partner dance. Find the evolving magic dynamic with each partner, building specific techniques for a continuous two-or-more-way communication. Transform your world into an endless dance playground! Let's create a sacred space by agreeing to: * No alcohol, No substances, and No sexual advances * Always obtain consent before engaging with others __________________ Brigitte is an international dance artist, instructor, performer, and transformational movement guide with a wealth of experience spanning over ten countries. Her diverse background includes training at prestigious institutions such as Broadway Dance Center in New York and Faculdade Angel Vianna in Rio de Janeiro. Combining her extensive studies in contemporary dance, Brazilian social dances, somatic education, contact-improvisation, Bodywork, Yoga, Gyrokinesis, and transpersonal psychology, Brigitte has developed a unique approach to dance. With a passion for using dance as a tool for awareness, expression, and personal growth, Brigitte creates transformative spaces for people to explore and connect on multiple levels. www.b-moving.com Katherine Moreno's journey with dance began with a Lambada performance she saw on TV in 1990, igniting a passion that spanned three decades. After years of exploration, she found her true calling in Chicago, where she embraced the vibrant art of Brazilian Zouk. Dedicated to mastering her craft, Katherine has trained extensively with renowned instructors such as Renata and Bruna Peçanha, Alex de Carvalho, Brigitte Wittmer, Gabriel de Carvalho, and Ryel of ZenZouk. Her commitment to spreading the love and craft of this dance brought her to the prestigious MAC Instructor Training Program led by Alex de Carvalho, where she successfully passed the theoretical exams in Toronto and is set to complete her final practical exams in Paris later this year. With a teaching approach that is both accessible and transformative, Katherine is passionate about making Brazilian Zouk simple and digestible for all her students.
