In that year he met Jaime Aroxa – the internationally renowned Brazilian Stardancer and choreographer. He learned Tango, Salsa, Zouk, Samba de Gafieira, Bolero, Modern Dance and some Ballet with him and developed not only into an amazing dancer but also into being one of the most influential Zouk teachers of Brazil. In the 90s Adilio started to spread the rhythm of Zouk Love all over Brazil, where his teaching has remained fundamental up to today. Apart from that he has performed in various shows, films and has been on TV, partially also as part of the Jaime Aroxa Dance Company. Since a few years Adilio has been teaching worldwide and passing on his enthusiasm for dance, in countries including the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Denmark, Australia, and Germany. Adilios classes are very thought through and efficient. Nobody leaves the class without a feeling of success. In addition Adilio is a very easygoing, friendly and funny guy whom you will take to immediately. ZOUK Zouk, which means party, is a style of music and a dance originating from the Caribbean Islands. The Brazilians used the Zouk rhythm to develop their own dance, Brazilian Zouk, which has its roots in lambada, with movements adapted to the rhythm and tempo of the zouk music. Many of the existing movements would be practically impossible to perform to the much faster lambada music. Brazilian zouk is a beautiful couple dance with sensuality, rhythm and passion. The dance is characterized by fluid motion, where couples harmoniously move as one. Zouk is danced to many different types of music, such as zouk, kizomba, r & b and pop.
