She has worked as a professional ballet and contemporary dancer since 8 years old. Larissa graduated at “Escola de Danças Classicas Teatro Guaira” in Curitiba, Brazil. At 18 years old she joined the Youth Theatre Company of Rio de Janeiro, travelling and performing throughout Brazil and the United States before studying Latin dance. Her career highlights include performing at The Kennedy Centre in Washington with the American Symphony Orchestra. In 2005, she started her studies in Latin dance and joined Jimmy de Oliveira’s samba de gafieira company and Alex de Carvalho’s Latin dance company specialising in Brazilian zouk. Together with Kadu Pires they are World renowned Latin dance professionals, they moved to Australia in 2007. They spend up to half of each year travelling – teaching, performing, choreographing and judging at the world’s most important Latin dance events and competitions. Since 2007, they have toured extensively throughout Australia and New Zealand, Asia, Europe, North and South America. They have been instrumental in boosting the popularity of Brazilian zouk and samba de gafieira internationally. Their credits include competition wins and television appearances in Brazil and in Australia, including choreography for So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Kadu and Larissa founded K&L Dance and K&L Dance Events (Casa do Zouk Congress) in 2012. In 2014 Larissa founded the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council (BZDC). The Brazilian Zouk Dance Council serves, supports, and promotes all aspects of Brazilian Zouk. BZDC encourages the growth of Zouk throughout the world. The Council is supported by its board of directors – Gilson Damasco, Renata Peçanha, Alex de Carvalho, Rodrigo Delano, Kadu Pires, Larissa Thayane and Freddy Marinho. In 2014 the first BZDC oficial Brazilian Zouk Jack and Jill took place at Casa do Zouk in Australia, since then registered competitions are gaining popularity all over the world. Today they are based in Los Angeles – USA, where they began the K&L Teachers Training Certificate (K Fernanda da Silva - @nandazouk DANCE TEACHER - CHOREOGRAPHER - PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESSWOMAN Fernanda da Silva Was born in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil where she started to learn the Brazilian Samba and Forró. Passionate about dance, Fernanda went into a dance academy to learn other styles such as Zouk, Samba de Gafieira, Bolero, Salsa and Swinging Foxtrot. Later she received an offer to work in the Czech Republic in a Brazilian dance group (Brasil Show), which performed and participated in the television contest “Česko Slovensko má Talent” Fernanda is in demand as an accomplished and renowned dance teacher, performer and choreographer. With her dance partner Carlos da Silva, she has performed at over 40 international dance events and congresses and performs and teaches each year in countries such as France, Spain, Russia, Egypt, Norway, Monaco, Germany, Brazil. In 2011 Fernanda began to lecture at the academy Rio dance studio In Prague (Czech Republic), where she with your partner teaches Brazilian dances, where she lives now. in 2013 she Started to help Organising one of the biggest congresses In Europa "Prague Zouk Congress" with Her dance Partner. Now, this congress is a tradition for all people from around the world, where PZC Team put together people from Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Russia, Germany, Spain and more, they come to the centre of Prague to be part of this mega event. In 2014 She had an opportunity to participate in a worldwide tour with BRAZOUKA company. Paloma Alves - @Alves_Paloma Teacher, choreographer, Paloma is a World-Renowned artist. Paloma started dancing Brazilian Zouk in 2008. Today she owns Entre Passos Dance Studio, where she teaches Brazilian Dances such as Bolero, Samba, Soltinho and Brazilian Zouk. She graduated in journalism from the University Gama Filho, began her studies in Brazilian Latin dancing and Zouk at Centro de Dança Renata Peçanha in 2008. Paloma and William started their dance partnership in April 2011. Today they seek to bring the dance to everyone, without differences and showing that we are all capable and also works for the well being, make the couple dance even more generous and pleasurable. 2011 – Championship Capital Zouk (DF) – Placing: 2nd place. 2012 – III International Congress Zouk Lambada and (RJ) – Placing: 1st place.
