Zoukah at the Piazza Part 2

Join us for a chill night at the Piazza (Schmidt Commons) and Orient Hookah Lounge. There will be a FREE Zouk class starting at 8pm, followed by a jam for practice. The class will be held at the Piazza, then we will walk one minute away to Orient Hookah Lounge to smoke hookah and get to know each other. Around 10:30-11:00pm we will be heading over to Brasils to continue dancing the night away. Come to the FREE zouk class and pay ONLY $10 for Hookah and BYOB fees. The style of zouk being taught is lambada zouk, which originated in Brazil. It is a connected dance that incorporates many moves that is now seen in today's sensual bachata. Brazilian zouk is characterized by the dancers’ undulating bodies and the girls' flowing hair. Depending on the style of Brazilian zouk, you can see a close connection embrace and long graceful steps, strong hip movements, body isolations and upper-body torsions, wild spins and whip-like head movements. While the dance is often called sensual, it is not sexual or erotic. It is danced by people of all ages in night clubs, dance schools and events around the world!- Zouk the World
