Zouker Natural Workshop - Fundamentals & Contact into Zouk

Join us on Sunday, June 10th 2018 at Dance Discovery, Kaiserstraße 1c in Bonn, for a day of classes, dancing and party. Program: 14:00 - 15:30 Fundamentals We will start the day off with the first edition of our new series, Zouker Natural Fundamentals. Here, we will delve into the very fundamentals and often neglected elements of what makes a great Zouk dance. Recommended for absolute newcomers as well as advanced dancers. 15:30 - 18:00 Contact into Zouk In a 2,5 hour intensive workshop, we will make the concepts of contact improvisation usable as a way to improve our Zouk dance. The goal is to learn a way to more freedom and improvisation in Zouk: While dancing in a couple, we will carefully break up the fixed structure of male-dominated leading. We also aim to gain better knowledge of the way our partners and we ourselves move while dancing to create a better connection. Workshops with Martin, Holger and Simone 18:30 - Open End: Party If the weather plays nice, we will top the day off after the last workshop at Bonn's gorgeous outdoors dance setting, the Tanzplatte right at the Rhine's river bank. Geeignet für absolute Einsteiger ebenso wie für erfahrene Tänzer, die ihre Basics polieren wollen. 15:30 – 18:00 Contact into Zouk Der Fokus des Tages ist ein zweieinhalbstündiger Workshop, in dem wir die Konzepte der Kontaktimprovisation für den Zouk nutzbar machen wollen. Ziel ist es, eine größere Freiheit und Fähigkeit zur Improvisation im Tanz zu gewinnen. Während wir weiterhin im Paar tanzen, werden wir in mehreren Einheiten behutsam die feste Struktur der männlich dominierten Führung aufbrechen und uns ein besseres Verständnis dafür antrainieren, wie unser Partner und wir selbst uns bewegen. 18:30 - Open End: Party Wenn das Wetter mitspielt, lassen wir den Tag nach den Workshops auf Bonns schönster Outdoor-Tanzfläche ausklingen: der Tanzplatte direkt am Rhein.
