Why Learn Brazilian Zouk? 1. Music: Zouk is a partner dance you can dance to all kinds of popular music. It can include R&B, Pop, Electronic, Latin, Afro music you probably already love, by artists such as Bad Bunny, Usher, Diplo, Beyonce, and even Justin Beiber and so many more. It's best suited for lower BPM music. 2. Dance: Zouk is exhilarating once you get the basics down. It's a partner dance with close embrace connection, circular turns, and lots of body movement. 3. It's a Workout: You will break a sweat. This is an athletic dance that challenges your speed, balance, and flexibility, each dance lasts 2-3 songs, and you're moving fast, taking long steps, doing turns, and trying to stay on beat. 4. Community: Want to meet new people and feel like you belong to a group? Join weekly offerings for social dance and classes in your area or travel around the country or world learning Zouk and meeting people. The community is small enough each person doesn't get lost in a crowd. Most big cities or states have 10-50 active dancers. Boston International Zouk Festival 2022 This March 2022, the first ever Boston Zouk Festival will take place in Watertown. 120+ dancers and 20+ instructors from all over North America are expected to gather here. The 3 day course is comprised of 6 hours of workshops lead by local and travelling artists passionate about sharing Zouk. ZOUKIFY passes are limited Access Passes to all Beginner Track workshops Fri-Sun, ONLY main workshops Sat/Sun can be attended after 3pm. This pass includes all parties from 10pm to 5AM, Friday to Sunday Does not include the Thursday night pre-party 3/17. The price increases every 2 weeks until the date of the event.
