Intrigued by the pulsating rhythms and vibrant energy of this dance style, he found himself enamored by its allure. Despite having no prior partner dance experience, Jeramie fearlessly embraced the challenge of leading a partner, immersing himself wholeheartedly in Brazilian Zouk. Drawing from his years of involvement in hip-hop and club styles, Jeramie's dance journey evolved uniquely, infusing his authentic flair into the Zouk realm. His dedication and commitment propelled him to become one of the premier dancers in his hometown of Atlanta, carving out a distinctive niche within the local dance community. Eager to deepen his understanding and master the intricacies of Brazilian Zouk, Jeramie embarked on a quest for knowledge. He delved into extensive study within his Atlanta community while also venturing beyond city limits. His pursuit led him to immerse himself in various festivals, weekend workshops, private lessons, and intensive training sessions, honing his fundamentals and expanding his repertoire. Alyssa Meyer is a dancer, choreographer, instructor, performer and organizer with 25 years of dance experience. She fell in love with Zouk in 2023 and since then rebranded From the Ground Up Zouk with her partner, Jeramie, led two seasons of a performance team, competed up to intermediate level in Jack & Jill competitions, and organized three weekenders.
