About this Event
Fernando (Chucky) Romero
Fernando Romero, known as “Chucky,” is an Argentine dancer, choreographer, and artist specializing in folklore and tango. Trained in dance from an early age, his journey includes urban dance, circus arts, and contemporary dance, before reconnecting with the roots that resonate most deeply with him: Argentine folklore and tango.
As a performer and creator, Chucky brings a sensitive and authentic perspective to tradition, bridging the ancestral with a contemporary expression. He also works as a tango DJ, where he translates his experience as a dancer into musical curation: for him, each tanda is a way of dancing with everyone at the same time from behind the console, creating a living, dynamic, and deeply connected dance floor.

Zamba is a traditional Argentinean folkloric dance, and a profound language of body expression.
This workshop is designed for social dancers to explore new physical tools, enrich their musicality, and expand their non verbal communication.
During the workshop dancers will start by learning the Zamba structure as a base. Later we will focus on improvisation and deep listening, using communication and connection with your partner as the central axes to generate the dance in the present moment.
