Kizomba means “party,” and it’s one of the fastest-growing partner dances in the world today. Originating in Angola, Africa, Kizomba has taken the world by storm with its smooth flow, deep connection, and strong rhythm. It emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s as an evolution of semba, a traditional Angolan music and dance genre that also influenced Brazilian samba. What can I expect? Our prepared and dedicated Kizomba instructors focusing on building your confidence and technique. To enhance your learning, we regularly switch partners so you can practice the steps and movements with everyone in the lesson.
