About this Event

Get ready to step up your dance game with Tango Argentino in a fun, easy-going class, even if you think you have two left feet! You don't need previous experience and, if you have any, this course will give you perspective and a good understanding of how the Tango Argentino language works. We’ll break down the fundamental tango patterns, understand their internal structure, and explore the movement principles that make them possible. Alongside the course, a weekly Focused Práctica · Tango Training Space* helps what you learn in the classes land in your body and stay with you. By week 8, you'll be able to walk onto a social floor and dance with someone you've never met, using the essential movements that form the Tango Argentino vocabulary. Afterwards, you can continue learning more variations and progressively more complex patterns at our Tango Improver course. Join with or without a dance partner and learn both roles. 📍 Hegelgasse 14, 1010 Wien 🗓 Wednesdays from 18:00 to 19:00 Current cycle: Oct 7 to Nov 25. Registrations close after the 3rd class to ensure a steady group progress. *Participation in the Focused Práctica is encouraged but not mandatory if your schedules don't fit. The more you practice, the fastest your progress is. Focused Prácticas take place on Wednesdays from 20:15 to 22:00. ✏️ Register at jessicagerdel.com or in person. Reduced prices for young students, unemployed and people with limited income are available. Her teaching combines tango technique, body awareness, connection, musicality and improvisation, helping dancers move beyond memorizing figures and understand their bodies, listen and adapt, dance with different partners, and gradually develop a tango that feels like their own. She teaches dancers of different levels through weekly classes, Focused Prácticas, quarterly Tango Immersion Weekends, a Tango & Movement Pedagogical Training, and special events, creating a welcoming learning environment that values curiosity, connection and the joy of dancing with different people.
