Learn to Swing Dance - Collegiate Shag!

Learn to dance - beginner swing dance classes, no partner required! We are teaching a new dance style for this special block: Collegiate Shag! AND we have special guest teachers for Week 1 all the way from Australia! Week 1 will have a beginners class from 7:00pm - 8:00pm, followed by an extra long open level class from 8:00pm - 9:30pm! So arrive early if you are coming along for that. From week 2, class times will return to normal with 7pm Beginner Shag and 8:30pm Intermediate Shag. Collegiate Shag is a swing dance that developed in the United States in the 1920's and 1930's. It was popular amongst college students and is commonly a fast-paced and energetic dance! Great way to exercise, meet new people, improve your co-ordination, rhythm and have loads of fun! Beginner Shag 7:00pm | Suitable for beginners, we'll take you right from the basics, no experience necessary. Intermediate Shag 8:30pm | Suitable for those who have done a few shag classes before, are confident social dancing other swing styles.
