🌀 CI Saturday Class + Jam with Isaiah Minick 🕑 Class: 2:00–4:00 pm 🕑 Jam: 4:00–6:00 pm 📍 Rong Sa Dang, Chiang Mai --------------------------------------- Warmly welcome to our Saturday Contact Improvisation class and jam: “The reason it’s called contact improvisation is because there is a third entity that arises in the state – it is the state of agreement between the two of you that neither one is leading. It doesn’t become leaderless, the two of you are leading.” – Steve Paxton In class on Saturday we will research this state of mutuality that Steve Paxton talks about as a ‘third entity’. We will ask what kind of tuning encourages individuals to arrive in this state of mutuality together. What kind of listening to self, space, and other, will best serve this mutuality? Can we start to recognize the shifts between leading, following, and mutuality? We will take time to explore the felt sense of mutuality within each of our dances, and give space to be an attentive witness to the processes of others.
