Wednesday Swing Night

6:00 PM — Intermediate Swing For dancers who already know the basics and are ready to expand their swing dancing. We’ll explore new vocabulary, variations, musicality, technique, and partner connection while building the skills to dance more confidently and creatively. The specific swing style and material may change, giving you opportunities to explore different rhythms, movements, and ideas while strengthening the skills that connect them all. 6:45–7:00 PM — Practice & Transition Stay on the floor, work with the evening’s material, ask questions, dance with different partners, or warm up for the next class. 7:00 PM — Dance Universals Learn the skills that make social dancing work—no matter what music is playing. Dance Universals explores connection, rhythm, communication, movement, and improvisation so you can become comfortable dancing at weddings, parties, concerts, festivals, or just about anywhere music starts playing. Rather than memorizing choreography, you’ll learn how to listen to the music, communicate with a partner, and create a dance together. No experience or partner required. Learn once. Dance anywhere. 7:45–8:00 PM — Practice & Transition Practice what you’ve learned, experiment with different partners, ask questions, or stay on the floor and simply dance. 8:00 PM — West Coast Swing Explore one of the most versatile modern social dances, known for its smooth movement, improvisation, and ability to adapt to an enormous range of music. We’ll develop West Coast Swing through connection, timing, technique, musicality, and partnership—giving both dancers room to contribute their own movement and personality to the dance. Whether you’re building your fundamentals or adding more creativity to your West Coast Swing, the goal is to become a more comfortable, connected, and expressive social dancer. 8:45–9:00 PM — Practice Finish the evening by putting the material into your own dancing, asking questions, and getting a few more dances in before we call it a night.
